Our Values
Much like the Marine Corp Values our founder swore to over 25 years ago, MaxQ is built on the idea of honoring our obligation to client success and a commitment to excellence in the service and support of our platform. We are focused on a cost-conscious yet technologically advanced system that public fund officials trust to get the job done.
Our Goals
MaxQ looks to become the industry leader in state and local government treasury analytics and reporting. Public fund officials wear many hats and often times have limited time and resources to do their job. MaxQ is the only platform on the market that combines back-office accounting and reporting with front-office investment management tools. This combination creates efficiency and lowers time spent managing the investment process by utilizing a single platform.

Our Story
MaxQ Analytics was originally created to help guide the investment and cash management process for public fund portfolio managers that often have limited time and resources to get the job done. By providing technological solutions to measure cash flow and liquidity needs, optimize duration targets and identify optimal sector allocations, MaxQ provided a clear and distinct path to creating sound investment strategy for public treasury clients. With the addition of the PEAR suite of models, MaxQ now serves as a complete back-office solution providing the investment accounting and reporting process from A to Z.
Our Services
MaxQ provides full accounting and reporting services through their PEAR (Portfolio Evaluation, Accounting and Reporting) cloud based system. These services include full monthly journal entries with daily reconciliations, transaction and interest confirmations and cash activity monitoring. PEAR also includes a unique ALM based duration-optimization model for creating portfolio asset allocations, managing liabilities/cash flow expectations and guidance for making sound and tactical investment decisions.

Technology
- Client Access Portal
- Azure Cloud Reliability
- Calculation Engine
- The Difference Maker
- Model Driven Solutions
MaxQ employs a technology and calculation engine that allows us to take a different approach using modular design. This design principle subdivides our system into smaller parts called models which are created and modified independently of each other. There may be data flowing from one model to another, but the operation and construction of each model allows us to identify, replace or enhance features quickly and independently of other models in our system. This brilliant design avoids the potential for cascading effects you might see in other systems when one element is changed and unintended consequences occur in some other part of the platform.
